The Hottest Trends for the Coldest Months This 2019

Whether you’re a trendsetter or a casual fashion fan, there’s plenty for everyone this Autumn and Winter. With both colour and monochrome, wild prints and bright fluorescence, you’re sure to find something you love that’ll keep you styling this season. So read on, and maybe you’ll find your fit with some of our top trends this 2019.

Bold bags

Not just a great fashion statement, bold, oversized bags are a really useful accessory! And they’re so in this Autumn and Winter. I’m so excited to finally have enough space to fit my phone, makeup, purse and umbrella into one bag, without panicking that everything’s getting squashed together in a tiny clutch. The quirkier the design the better, so find yourself a unique print, load the bag full of everything (even the kitchen sink!) and strut your stuff.

Flamboyant florals

It’s a common theme no matter what the season, and floral prints are here to stay. This year, you’re likely to find muted colours dominating the shelves, their patterned prints standing out with pops of colour. Adorning yourself with gorgeous flowers will also help keep the Summer alive, even when there’s snow falling outside. So, whether you’re going to imitate Marc Jacobs with a fully covered floral headdress or you’re more Asos-chic with a cute midi-dress, you’ll be right on trend this season.

Luxury leather

This year, leather’s making a comeback. Or, if you’re more environmentally conscious, opt for the pleather – nobody’ll even know.
That’s right, this year we’re bringing back the wet-look leggings and leather jackets, paired with chunky belts and suave boots. Whether you’re living out your biker fantasy or layering with some cute knitwear, you can’t go wrong with chic leather boots, bags, jackets and jeans.

Cute collars

Instead of covering your neck with scarves or statement necklaces, let your shirts do the talking. Statement collars are all the rage this year and throughout Winter is no exception. Think frills, pussy bows and rolled necks; if it stands out, it’ll suit you. This is one I’m particularly loving, because a fancy neckline can style up even the dullest of outfits. No more boring suit combos for the office – try a slimline shirt with an elaborate bow, a sure-fire way to stand out from the crowd without being too bold.

Fancy feathers

Our last trend to watch for is feathers, because frankly, who doesn’t love a bit of fluffiness? You’ll find feathers giving your fave styles of shirt a slight shimmer of movement, or creating elaborate hairpieces to accessorise your look. Plus, you can get your hands on faux-feathers much like you can with leather and fur, so if you’re looking for something that’s ethically sound as well as exciting, fashion’s got you covered. Feathers make a great insulator too, so you can stay warm in the winds and look fabulous while doing it.
