We’ve put together some of our favourite styles of the moment to inspire you.
Searching for the perfect pair of boots, but not sure which style to go for? Maybe you’re looking for your next staple pair to stride into spring and beyond. At Cohorted, we believe that if the boot fits and flatters, the girl has got to buy it!
Whether it’s a comfy biker boot for those long winter walks, or a pair of knee-highs for work and play, we’ve put together some of our favourite styles of the moment to inspire you.
The knee-high boot has been one of the top trends for winter 2020-21 and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. To complete your outfit, we recommend opting for a pair of heeled knee boots. Think earthy tones in leathers, suedes and perhaps even a sexy snakeskin print for added wow. Team with a long camel coat to keep you snug and bang on trend at the same time. To achieve that effortless daytime look, a shirt dress layered under an oversized jumper dress is key. We are equally loving the chunky platform knee-high to really bring out those 90s vibes.
A wardrobe staple year in and year out, the biker boot gives you both ultimate comfort and edge. With SO many different styles of biker boots on the market, you can really make them your own. Studded, laces, buckles, cleated soles, and even faux-croc pattern– bikers really are one of the most versatile boot trends. Pair with jeans and a faux-leather jacket and you’ve got yourself an iconic off-duty look. One of our favourite ways to style the biker boot though, has to be contrasting with delicate florals and romantic floaty skirts or dresses. You’ll be ready for spring and a summertime festival when they finally come about.
Another timeless option that you will have in your wardrobe for years to come, is the Chelsea boot. Simple and elegant, this style is made for practicality and to also add a touch of class. First designed as walking boots in the 1800s for Queen Victoria, the Chelsea boot has always been known for comfort, especially as they’re exceptionally easy to slip on and off. Today, they continue to grow in popularity, with many people choosing Chelsea above any other style of boot. We can sure see why- they’re versatile through and through. With the Chelsea boot, we’re mad about smart-casual, so go for jeans that sit over the top of the boot. Add a tailored poplin shirt and blazer to the mix and you have yourself the ultimate London look.
If you want to mix things up a little more, why not opt for a square-toe style? As seen on the Fashion Week catwalks, the square-toe is for those who like to be bold and stand-out with their fashion. And yet, it really is an easy type of boot to style. We recommend going for an ankle length boot and pairing with cropped denims to really show off that elongated shape. We guarantee that you’ll have the compliments flooding in.
Believe it or not, wellies and rain boots are right on trend now and no longer just reserved for rainy days. While they definitely help to make those wintery walks a little bit easier, the reliable wellie has had a bit of a fashion make-over. For many, the wellie and rain boot conjures up memories of dancing in muddy fields. Unfortunately, despite the unlikelihood that we will be going to festivals in 2021, we can still channel all the feels. We recommend going for a calf grazing chunky wellie style in a patent or leather that can be matched with your best coat. To step it up a notch, try wearing your rain boots with wet look mini shorts and an over-sized shirt or jumper to look stylish and feel confident all day. Bonus, if it does rain, you’ll be prepared!
