If, like myself, you prefer to dress like a snow flake for 6-7 months of the year, wearing all things white, sparkly and even fluffy, then you’ve come to the right place. Wearing white in the winter will always get the gasps as you skip over mud or scoot around a puddle. But nevertheless, white in winter is a beauty, and one that’s here to stay.
TIGHTS
And finally, whilst we’re on the topic of tights, a pair of see-through, skin coloured tights will do you wonders. I mean, I know they only go to 15-20 denier at most BUT sometimes, that all-white, perfectly preened outfit just doesn’t welcome a pair of thick black tights. Your natural tone works wonders.
COAT
Invest in a coat that’s good quality and that will last a wash or two, maybe a year. We’re going to get it dirty whether we like it or not, but it’s about making the most out of it.
BOOTS
Wear them over a pair of white pleather trousers or under a white midi-skirt for the ultimate power pairing. My favourites are white also, but of course you have the freedom to mix it up.
FAUX FUR
Have you thought about ‘fur’? Changing the texture of an outfit is a sure way to make the outfit that little bit different, even if it’s all the same shade in the first place. Faux fur (no real fur here please and thank you) will keep you warm and toasty, giving you the chance to brave the house in some tights.
PLAY
Play around with different shades of white. I’ll often add a beige, cream or even a brown item to compliment the white and keep the tones similar, without looking too much like a snowman.

The winter whites are calling you.
