Finding your Homeware Aesthetic…

Since COVID began, we have all spent most of our time locked away in our homesOn the plus side, sitting on our sofas every day for the past 18 months has allowed the online sphere to curate new trends.

The newest movement on Instagram now alignwith our need to hava beautiful home which suits our lifestyles and personalities. A plethora of influencers, bloggers and vloggers now showcastheir homes and interior updates for all their followers to see. This has spurred interest in home aesthetics – I for one cannot wait to see the latest sofa my favourite YouTube star has bought.

The range of influencers now posting about their homes has given way to range of homeware aestheticswhich can be recreated easily, through relatively affordable means. Below are some of the top and trendiest aestheticswhich you could try in your own homes!

MINIMAL & MAGICAL

There are so many influencers who do minimalism well. If you are looking for pale colours, whitewashed walls and alluring relaxing luxury, then this aesthetic is for you. The top Instagram accounts are @elisabeth_heier and @onlydecolove, who capture the serene moments in their homes. This aesthetic will really bring clarity to your home, however good luck with keeping everything clean and tidy!

BRINGING COUNTRY BACK

Colliding country with a slight modern-day twist is what @lydiamillenhome is renowned for. She and her husband have documented the whole process of their house and garden renovation, creating the picture-perfect family home for themselves, their dogand their cat. Highlighting the importance of gardening, appreciating the changing seasons, and creating a home suitable for their “fur babies,” no wooden beam is left untouched or without some modern elements thrown in. This really highlights the beautiful ways you can have modern elementswith a rusticcountryside feeling.

BADASS AND MAXIMALIST

Maximalist is my favourite home aesthetic. Bold, bright and cheerful, there is nowhere to hide in these fabulous rooms. @sallydoessassy is a brilliant Instagram account, dedicated to interior styling. Think leopard print, feature walls, illuminous signsOne thing is for sure – you would never get bored in these sassy rooms.

VICTORIAN

@inside_springfields is one of my favourite Instagram accounts. This is the home to influencer Tara Maynard and her gorgeous family. This brings together elements of Victorian interiors with beautiful high ceilings and panelling, with elements of maximalist energy in the form of a flower arch in front of her door. This account highlights that you really can mix trends to find the perfect aesthetic for you.

I hope this roundup of the best home accounts and interiors brings some inspiration to our homes as we are heading into the new yearLet’s hope we can beat the winter blues this year by developing and looking at our gorgeous new home aesthetics
