Home to temples, sushi, style, history and feeling zen, Japan is a place which must be on every girls bucket list. This summer I travelled around Japan and I already can’t wait to return to the sophisticated stylish streets.
LOOK ONE IN TOKYO
Tokyo was my first stop in Japan. I had researched Japanese style before I packed for my trip and found sophisticated fashions were most common – Pinterest was definitely correct on this one. Japanese streets are littered with designer handbags and minimal fashions – I didn’t see one person not on point whether young or old. I was so glad I packed this minimal linen co – ord. I love it because it looks like a boilersuit yet you can pair It with other items. The linen fabric kept me cool and it kept with the minimal styling in Japan.
While wondering cosmopolitan Tokyo you stumble upon pockets of history. I found this temple near the government area of Tokyo city.
LOOK TWO IN KYOTO
Kyoto is a town filled head to toe with history and temples. Here you learn about the Japanese monks, trying their sacred drinks and learning the history of the Kimono. I wanted to be comfy while exploring Kyoto so I went for my black boilersuit and cross body bag. These are two travel essentials no matter where you are going. If you don’t want to wear the boilersuit while sight-seeing it is a must for staying stylish while travelling. The cross body bag is a must for sight-seeing however, pick pocket risk is always high in tourist destinations so wear your cross body to be on trend and safe!
LOOK THREE IN HIMEJI CASTLE
After weeks of visiting temples I was in need to see a castle. Himeji castle is based just outside of Kobe. It honestly took my breath away – a real life princess castle. Although inside the castle it was completely bare which was a shame, the outside and gardens were beautiful. The day before we visited Himeji castle I found myself vintage shopping in Tokyo. When you are in Tokyo vintage shopping is a MUST so bare this in mind for when you are planning your spending money. I bought this vintage Gucci bag for a steal and I loved it. I paired it with my black crop top with underwire detailing and linen trousers with Fila trainers. I loved this look for a cool yet casual styling.
LOOK FOUR IN KYOTO BAMBOO FOREST
On my way to the bamboo forest in Kyoto and I couldn’t resist getting a photo with the random, quirky old school phone in the metro station. The Bamboo forests were an experience I am so glad I visited. Bamboo forests are surprisingly relaxing and if you stop still and listen you can hear the bamboo swaying.
I wore a cute beige wrap dress in Kyoto, perfect to fit in with the Japanese minimal styling. I loved wearing this outfit it was casual, comfortable yet stylish for a day of walking. Although I’m not a trainer girl by heart when walking 30,000 steps a day trainers are a must so pack your comfiest pair.

LOOK FIVE GETTING AROUND TOKYO
Getting around Tokyo and using the Metros were super easy. The wall art in Tokyo is also a must see! I loved this outfit – I wore a basic white T shirt and polka dot satin slip dress over the top, to dress the dress down. Paired with a black bucket hat and tote for an effortless day wear look.

LOOK SIX EXPLORING TOKYO
Shopping in Tokyo is a must. There are so many districts you need to visit like Shibuya and Harajuku. Oh and you MUST visit a quirky café, I went to the Monster café and it was a crazy experience filled with colourful walls and rainbow pasta. So to meet the colourful expectations of the day I had to wear something vibrant myself. Again a pink satin slip dress over a white T – this is one of the easiest stylings for shopping and also super breathable and comfy.
LOOK SEVEN IN TEAM LAB
If you don’t know what team lab is google it now. The most impressive exhibition I have ever been to in my life and I wish Tokyo was closer so I could re visit more often, but sadly I can’t pop back there. To visit Team Lab I wore my Pantone X Zara shirt which I am obsessed with. I don’t think they are on sale anymore but it really was a great buy and fab quality. I am really loving oversized shirts now, you can pair them with anything or everything and you look like you have made an effort.
Where next? We shall see…
LOOK EIGHT IN OSAKA
Osaka is completely juxtaposed from the sophisticated streets of Tokyo. It s a more tourist filled, colourful busy city with crazy architecture. On this particular rainy day I visited Osaka town, the quirky city reminded me of a film set it was so unusual. However, I made a bad fashion choice by wearing my lilac boiler suit while it rained, as every raindrop shows up… Either way I loved this look paired with my lilac sunglasses.
