THE CULT EDIT
DISCOVER OUR SKINCARE FAVOURITES

This month’s favourites (well, every month) we’re all about skincare! We’ve got together our favourites to ensure you’re glowing ready for those post-lockdown events!

Tori - Social Team

My ultimate skincare saviour has got to be a cleanser. The staple product to your skincare regime. Once you find the right one for you it’s pretty hard to dip your toes into something different (although switching up your products from time to time is good for your skin). A creamy, natural balm is what works best for me; something that isn’t as heavy as an oil or butter but also not foamy like a facial wash. Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser was my first proper skincare item as a teen and I continue to use it to this day. Although I am always experimenting with new products, Liz Earle is my saving grace if my skin is having a bit of a hard time or I want to go back to basics.

My ultimate skincare saviour has got to be a good moisturising lip product. It’s an absolute essential for me throughout all seasons! I have tried many different lip balms and oils in the past as I do like to change it up, but a great, more luxurious option is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir. It’s super hydrating, feels like a serum for the lips and can be used throughout the day or as a lip masque overnight for extra nourishment. The oil not only moisturises the lips but also works to smooth out lines and gives a nice plumping effect too. I also love the roller ball applicator, so 90’s!

I have been a skincare lover for some time, but one of of my ultimate favourite, can’t live without products is the Night Renewal Complex from Monuskin. I use this every night as part of my PM routine and always wake up the next morning with softer and brighter skin. One of the key actives of this cream is marine collagen which helps to improve elasticity, tone the skin and smooth fine lines. It is also super light weight which is great for my sensitive skin.

As someone who struggles with dry skin, I’ve always found using creams with Vitamin C really hydrating for my complexion. Sunday Riley’s Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream immensely moistures my skin, whilst not feeling too heavy in my pores after applying. I always use this cream before bed after cleansing my face, so it helps repair my skin and protect it from any damage. I would definitely recommend experimenting with some moisturisers that have Vitamin C in them if you suffer with dry skin!

Lauren - Buying Team

I have always struggled to find the perfect daily moisturiser which includes SPF, until I came across the Origins Energy-Boosting SPF 40 Tinted Moisturiser, which is now my go-to. If you’re like me and are looking for a little added coverage day to day without having to wear foundation, then look no further. This lightweight moisturiser evens out your skin tones while also helping protect your skin from UV rays. Plus, it gives your skin the perfect radiant glow!

Annie - Social Team

My ultimate skin saviour has got to be the closest thing to magic. The Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel contains a game changing concoction of acids that will transform your skin. It works overtime to smooth fine lines, reduce pore size, reduce redness and even out skin tone, while giving the skin an instant radiant glow. It literally does it all. I love using this when my skin needs a good pick-me-up, before a big event or when I’m going on holiday. It’s definitely a treat but it’s so worth it!

Rose - Buying Team

This is a no brainer for me – my holy grail, ultimate skincare go to all-day-long has to be Glossier Futuredew – nothing quite compares. As a serum oil hybrid this is the kind of product which transforms your skin from looking dull and tired to glossy & radiant. The kind of healthy glow you’d expect after weeks of a good diet, hydration and weekly facials, all in one bottle. I use this after my make up as a highlighter dabbed over upper cheekbones for a natural healthy glow. This is a hero skincare staple & if you haven’t tried already then your life is about to be changed…

Amelia - Sales Team

My ultimate skincare saviour has got to be the award-winning Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. It’s an absolute skincare staple for me home or away and it lasts forever! The cream is an amazing multi-purpose product from using as a moisturiser/skin protectant for face, lips and body to achieving all that glow with highlighting my cheeks and collarbones. To create a dewy and fresh makeup look this is my go-to. The Eight Hour Cream is intensely hydrating, always leaving my skin feeling soft, plump and bright.

Holly - Sales Team

My ultimate skincare saviour has got to be the Glossier Balm Dotcom! It’s an absolute life saver throughout all the seasons. I’ve tried many lip-balms in the over the years, but this one never fails to let down. What I also love about this, is it comes in different flavours! I find the tastiest to be Mint or Mango. This super hydrating lip balm is packed with natural emollients and antioxidants to help nourish your skin. But the best thing about the Glossier Lip Balm that I also find it plumps my lips and sometimes wear it under my lipsticks.  If you haven’t tired this product, then I highly recommend it!

I’m the type of person who applies lip balm every 2 seconds out of habit and so when I discovered the French Girl Rose Lip Polish, that was no more. This lip polish is formulated with sugar to gently exfoliate and remove dry skin, while the Shea Butter and Coconut Oil hydrates and smooths the lips. With the added bonus of it being cruelty-free and vegan friendly, what more could you want from a lip scrub?

Eliza - Marketing Team

Since ditching the makeup wipes and going in for a double cleanse, my skin has changed drastically. Effectively removing my makeup has helped reduce any signs of breakouts and leave my skin plumper, thanks to no more tugging at my face. I opt for The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm for a first cleanse to melt away makeup, followed by a targeted cleanser to get deep in to the skin. I added this to my routine over a year ago and I haven’t looked back since. The smooth, oil based texture helps break down makeup while reducing redness and irritation, that rough makeup wipes would otherwise cause. With Oat Kernel Oil, it helps maintain the skins moisture and reduce blackheads, and for extra moisture can be used as a ten minute face mask.

Emma - Editorial Team

Cleansing is my favourite step in a skincare routine. I first grabbed this beauty last year and I genuinely haven’t looked back since (I even purchased 3x 150ml back up bottles)… This gentle cleanser is the ideal AM and first PM cleanser and there’s a reason it is a cult favourite. Being non-comedogenic and soap-free means that it’s suitable for all skin types and will make a great addition to any skincare routine. It’s reliable, affordable and my blemish-prone skin loves it!
