Beginners Guide to Home Workouts: MUST HAVES!

A list of the best workout guides to kickstart your new year. These guides come from Instagram’s top fitness influencers and most have ‘At Home’ options so you don’t have any excuses.

In January, most of us set New Year’s resolutions about getting fit and getting back into the gym after a month of eating loads of chocolate and enjoying the festivities. However, going to the gym can sometimes be daunting and, while the thought is there, pulling off going to the gym to work out three times a week doesn’t always last.

Arianna Ajtar – The Brazilian Butt Guide (£30)

For the price, you get a lot in this guide. There is a 6 week plan full of workouts, meal prep ideas and also self-love and reflective activities to complete. This plan is good for your mental health as well as physical health.

Arianna also sells resistance bands to use with your workout plan and also a home guide option for those of you who aren’t huge fans of the gym.

Grace Beverley - Shreddy (£9.99 p/m)

A monthly payment does seem a lot for a fitness guide, I agree. However, the quality of this guide is second to none. The first benefit is that Shreddy is an app so you can always refer back to it, it has an included diary so you can keep track of your progress. Shreddy also has a line of protein and supplements, resistance bands, short Instagram videos for quick workout inspiration and also, you girls can join the Shreddy Club for motivation.

Stef Fit – We Glow (£13.99)

Stef Fit has been a well-loved Instagram fitness influencer for a long time now and she has recently released her own app, We Glow. The idea of this is lovely, it includes at home and gym-based workouts but the message of the app is more about how you feel rather than how you look, which I think is important in today’s era of social media. The app also includes personalised meal plans and the weglow Instagram page does live workouts which you can watch for motivation so you aren’t working out alone.
