The UK’s Top Halloween Events 2019

For some, Halloween is the best event of the year; a time to wear outrageous costumes and inventive makeup looks. But fancy dress is like marmite, you either love it or hate it.

Whether fancy dress is your idea of Halloween heaven or hell, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the spookiest day of the year, without costume and fake blood. Here’s our round up of the best things to do this Halloween, across the UK:

For dog lovers:
Pug Café Howl-O-Weenie Events for Dachsunds, Frenchies and Pugs.
Where? Revolution Fiveways, Birmingham and Revolution Cornerhouse, Nottingham.
A slightly niche event, but too good not to include in our round up… If you happen to own a Pug, French Bulldog or Dachshund and live in or around Birmingham or Nottingam, we have just the event for you!
Pug Café – the company behind the legendary pug and dachshund pop-up events across the UK – are hosting two special Howl-O-Weenie events at Revolution Bars just for our favourite mini doggos. In Birmingham, Revolution at Fiveways Leisure Complex will host pugs and dachshunds and Revolution Cornerhouse in Nottingham will host pugs, dachshunds AND frenchies. Alongside prizes for the best dressed pooch, there will be a menu of spooky themed doggy treats and for us humans, there are special spooky spritzes, cocktails and a themed menu of mains, snacks and sweet treats.
If you happen to own one of these dog breeds, this event is too good to miss – book ASAP!

For cocktail connoisseurs:
Where? Día de Muertos at Menagerie Bar and Restaurant, Manchester.
If you call Manchester home, then Menagerie is the place to be for Halloween! Not only are they throwing two huge Día de Muertos Halloween parties complete where you will be joined by spirits and calaveras from the afterlife, but they’re also launching a range of limited edition Halloween cocktails available from 28th October until 3rd November. So, whether you fancy a few sophisticated cocktails or letting your hair down and partying the night away, Menagerie have you sorted!
This Halloween Menagerie is stepping into the Día de Muertos, the Mexican festival where the souls of the deceased are welcomed back, it is not a day of mourning but a celebration and it’s safe to say that Menagerie know how to throw a party. We will be joined by Spirits and Calavera’s from the afterlife to turn your night into a spooky spectacular, and you can dance the night away with the spirits of the dead.
With the help of Patron tequila, Menagerie will bring a rich authentic Mexican heritage, introducing a bespoke range of premium Patrón cocktails which will also be served throughout the week of Halloween, commencing the 28th October.
Menagerie is known for its high glamour, so slip into your favourite dress – or for daytime cocktails the standard ‘jeans and a nice top’ combination, and add some spooky makeup if you’re feeling adventurous!

Limited Edition Halloween Cocktails: Available from Monday 28th October to Sunday 3rd November.
