Leading A Busy Life? Blueberry Is The Magic Potion You Require

With both the world and our work-life growing busier, we often tend to inch towards an unhealthy lifestyle skipping meals and daily workouts. The good news is you can now stay healthy with just a handful of blueberries. Though they look tiny, blueberries are packed with antioxidants, nutrients, vitamins, potassium, and fibre that can help you run through the day and keep various health problems under check.

It is a proven fact that plant-based food is exceptionally good for health. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, consuming a cup of blueberries daily can improve our vascular function, reduce risk of cardiovascular disease, fight diabetes, and arterial stiffness.

Need more reasons to include blueberry into your daily diet? Here are a few more.

Thanks to our unhealthy lifestyle, presently a majority of us suffer from blood pressure issues. What’s more, blood pressure issues can also lead to heart diseases.

Studies have proven that consuming blueberries reduce blood pressure and thus the chances of heart diseases. Packed with minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium, blueberries are believed to help a great deal with fighting hypertension.

Again, blueberries are high in antioxidants as well as substances like vitamin C, B6, folate, and potassium which are essentials for a healthy heart. Blueberries contain zero cholesterol and contribute to reducing heart stroke and other cardiovascular health problems.

It is said that oxidative stress can have a negative impact on our brain. Blueberries are a treasure chest of antioxidants that inhibit oxidation and prevent the formation of free radicals which damage our cells causing diseases like cancer.

Furthermore, they work on areas benefitting the ageing neurons which, in turn, help improve our intelligence and memory cells.

Currently, diabetes happens to be one of the most common diseases found among people. Many studies have found that blueberries contain a bioactive compound that improves our insulin sensitivity. Thus, blueberries show anti-diabetes effect reducing blood sugar levels.
