We understand that the sales can be a tad overwhelming at times, so I’ve listed my top 5 tips for getting the most out of those deals...
Only buy what you can afford. No sales are worth getting into debt for, no matter how tempting those split it payment site can be – brands will do all the marketing to entice you, you just need the willpower to stick to your guns.
Following on from the above, a budget will let you shop guilt free and pick up something a little more expensive, if you see fit. This way, you’ll also avoid spending any money that you have allocated to another need.
What do you really need? A new toothbrush with 50% off? Or maybe there’s that bag you’ve been eyeing up all year with an amount you simply cannot say no to. Write a list of what you fancy to make it easier when you’re shopping around those packed-out stores – you’ll also avoid shopping around for the sake of it, picking up random items because you feel as though you need to compete with the sales.
Online sales are the best place to go for products from multiple stores. The money off may also SEEM good, but if those jeans are still over £100, are you getting a good deal regardless? There are websites and apps that compare prices too, so make use of them whilst you can!
From birthdays to Christmas presents, bikinis to big floppy hats, the January sales are known for their deals on things you KNOW you’ll just need at some point next year. Why not forward plan and think what you’ll need over the next few months? It will save you running around before your holiday looking for an affordable bikini…
The sales are always a hit for spending that Christmas cash or those gift cards you received, but always remember that you don’t have to splash the cash at all.
There’s a lot of pressure to hit the January sales, so don’t make pressure purchases, buy something because you really want it!
