As you prepare to store or pack away your Winter clothes, why not take the opportunity to streamline your wardrobe, with some of my top tips…
I really rate the large IKEA storage boxes for keeping Winter coats, hats, boots, etc. in during the warmer months. It gives you more space to access your Summer clothing and also keeps your out of season pieces from attracting mould or moths when not in use.
This is a great tip for seeing which pieces you actually wear. Turn all your hangers to face outwards and give yourself a set amount of time. I usually give myself a month.
As the month goes on, when you wear something and put it back on its hanger, then turn the hanger to face inward. At the end of the month you’ll clearly be able to see what has been worn and what hasn’t.
When you whittle down your wardrobe to pieces that you actually wear, fight the temptation to fill it with too many new items as the seasons change. Operating one in, one out, saves your wardrobe from bursting at the seams and also keeps it a lot more streamlined and easier to work with.
No, you don’t need six white t-shirts when only one fits you perfectly.
You also don’t need anything that takes up precious space in your
wardrobe that makes you feel anything but fabulous. It’s time to get rid
of ill-fitting pieces or anything that makes you feel crap when you wear
it.
Are you looking forward to the warmer weather and swapping big coats and boots for floaty dresses and skirts?
