How To Celebrate Galentine’s Day In 2021

Galentine’s Day has become a popular way of celebrating female friendship. Here we share our ideas of things to do on Galentine’s Day this February.

For many of us, Valentine’s Day is conventionally celebrated on 14th February and is a day dedicated to showing your significant other how much they mean to you. However, in recent years, you may have heard the term ’Galantine’s’ become much more popular. But what does Galentine’s actually mean?

Galentine’s Day has grown in popularity in recent years and is a day dedicated to female friendships, or ‘the gals’. Galentine’s Day usually takes place on 13th February as a way to celebrate and enjoy the relationships we have with others

The unofficial holiday began as an alternative to Valentine’s Day for those who aren’t in a relationship. It is becoming more accepted to celebrate both Valentine’s and Galantine’s for those in a relationship.

So whether you and your friends are single or in a relationship, why not celebrate Galantine’s Day this year and enjoy a day with your besties. Put the ‘gal’ in Galantine’s and drink to your friendship. It’s the perfect holiday for every woman to celebrate, whether in a relationship or not.

After a crazy 2020, this February is the perfect opportunity to celebrate your friends and show them how incredible they are and how grateful you are.

It might still be a little different than usual with many bars, restaurants or social places closed, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t celebrate Galantine’s in style:

Send flowers

Everyone loves receiving flowers in the mail. Opening the door to a bouquet of your favourite flowers is the most amazing feeling. With an increase in popularity, you can also send ‘letterbox’ flowerswhich come flat packed for posting convenience. Once arrived, just pop them in a vase and they come to life. Cohorted have an exclusive offer with Bloom & Wild, so get £10 OFF and treat someone you love with the code ‘CH38AP’.

Girls Night in - virtually

Whether you fancy a pamper night with new matching PJs, facemasks and a bottle of wine, or you would prefer to get dressed up and have a dance, a Zoom party with your besties is a great way to celebrate Galantine’s this year. It’s as close as we can get to a night outso let’s make the most of it

Brunch… virtually

A virtual brunch could consist of getting together on Zoom and eating your favourite snacksPerhaps you could find a recipe to all cook together beforehand, then enjoy having a natter whilst tucking in.

Gift Swaps

Think Secret Santa, but with a twist. Why not do a Galantine’s gift swap and then unwrap each other’s gifts on a zoom call? Get these delivered to their house ready for unboxing together on Zoom. The Cohorted Beauty Box is a great option for this and your lucky Galentine’s will receive a selection of luxury beauty and skincare delivered to their door. Make sure to subscribe in January to receive the February box in time for Galentine’s!
