2020 is the year we’ll never forget, that’s for sure. What could be scarier than a global pandemic and being told to stay at home for months on end?
Another Tik Tok challenge or a second wave?
With social distancing measures in place for the foreseeable future and the golden hues of Autumn on the horizon, it looks like this will be our first Halloween at home. Now, just because your ‘stuck’ inside it doesn’t mean it will be any less fun… At Cohorted, we’ll be taking you through some of our plans from four to one.
The good old Zoom party
Have you been suffering from Zoom fatigue? Us too.
Why not avoid another boring quiz and delve into some horror stories? Remember the days of flashing a torch in your face with the lights off? Well, the 2020 version of this might have you buffering at times because your flat mate might be FaceTiming their long-distance partner. Now that’s scary!
If you’re not well versed in horror stories, you can always pay for a professional. We love this authentic pay someone to do it for you and this virtual Jack the Ripper tour on Airbnb experiences. Take your Zoom party to the next level…
Baking
With Trick or Treating off the cards, you’ll have to get your sugar fix elsewhere. We’re talking pumpkin spiced lattes, pumpkin soup, pumpkin cakes, pumpkin carving, pumpkin patches, pumpkin everything.
Get creative or experiment – who knows, you might be the next Mary Berry?
Dressing up
We’ve left the best Halloween at Home task until last – dressing up, because it’s not a waste of a costume, ever. This is the reason we all love Halloween, right? You either spend weeks fretting about your custom or you’re a last-minute person with cat ears and a LBD do the trick. Whatever you decide to dress up as, take all the photos, be safe and stay socially distant.

Movies
Halloween isn’t Halloween without a horror movie or classic American teen movie. Here are a run through of some Halloween classics (that aren’t so scary):
- Mean Girls – So fetch.
- Scream – Watch your back.
- Scary Movie – Pure satire.
- Psycho – A black and white classic.
- Harry Potter – You’re a wizard, Harry.
Looking to curl up on the sofa and watch a classic horror film between your fingers? We’ve got the films for you…
- The Strangers
- Sinister
- Get Out
- IT
- The Conjuring
- The Orphan
- SAW
How will you be celebrating Halloween at home this year? Let us know.
