I grab my suitcase and head into London every Saturday at 9am. I’ve sat in far too many cafes for my bank account to enjoy and have had a few blowdries along the way. Here is my 2 minute travel guide to East London, from an East Londoner herself.
Lets start with Spitalfields Market, it’s full of everything and anything. From one off clothes and statues and designer beauty boutiques to well-known restaurants and a cheeky little pub, it’s got something for everyone. With just a minute walk from Liverpool Street and the base of East London blogger shoots – there’s one for future reference!
You’ve then got Brick Lane and it’s not too far away, just more towards the Shoreditch area. With a host of shops, stalls and a market on some days too, it’s the go-to for a quirky day trip.
Heading a little South West, you’ll stumble across Bank and St Pauls. The buildings in this area are beautiful, giving you the perfect backdrop for any tourist or blogger photo.
I’ll stop at the Shard and Sky Garden. The buildings and views say enough for themselves. I know someone who works in the same building and heads up every lunchtime to overlook the city. She said it never gets old, which I don’t find hard to believe. It never gets old and for an extra special touch, head up at sunset for a view you’ll never forget.
And that’s my 2 minute guide to East London, giving you a few things to do. There are obviously soooo many more things to see and do around this area. Drom treating yourself to a Duck and Dry blow-dry, to popping into Yo! Sushi for a chicken noodle dish and the best chips to go with them.
But I won’t spoil you, the best bit is finding it all for yourself.
