UpCircle: Cruelty-Free, Ethical Skincare

UpCircle are a vegan, cruelty-free, ethical skincare brand founded in 2016. The brands ethos revolves around the idea of a circular economy, by taking discarded ingredients such as coffee grounds and fruit stones, and turning them into natural, organic products to transform your beauty routine!

Their product range stems from moisturisers and serums to eye creams and face masks all created using strictly natural ingredients. I was lucky enough to be gifted some products from UpCircle and couldn’t have been more excited to try them!

“This moisturiser is suitable for all skin types. Vitamin E rich argan powder is combined with skin-soothing cocoa butter, aloe vera and blood orange. Reused, repurposed, reloved: This face cream is made with finely-ground powder of discarded argan shells, a natural by-product of the argan oil industry and rich in antioxidant Vitamin E.”

My Verdict: Retailing at £18.99 this moisturiser is perfect for daily use. Whilst testing out this product, I have been using it as a day cream applying before my makeup routine. The cream sinks into the skin quickly and has worked well in reducing the oiliness of my skin throughout the day, making my foundation last longer and my skin less shiny.

The packaging feels very high quality and the glass jar and aluminium lid are just one of the great ways UpCircle are working towards their goal of remaining 100 per cent vegan and ethical!

“Peppermint and Coffee Exfoliating Body Scrub with sea salt, eucalyptus and coconut oil. Buff away dry, dead cells to leave you feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed. Blended with shea butter to moisturise the skin post-scrub. Reused, repurposed, reloved. This scrub is made with top-quality Arabica coffee grounds sourced from artisan coffee shops.”

My Verdict: After using this product in the shower to exfoliate my skin before tanning, I was so surprised at how soft and smooth my skin was! Instantly after rubbing the product in, I could feel a massive difference in the smoothness of my skin. The only downside to the scrub was that it can get quite messy when used in the shower, the texture is similar to ground coffee granules so as you can imagine there were little bits left around the shower.

However, this is nothing that couldn’t easily be wiped up and will not change my overall positive view of this product! If you’re looking for a scrub that will leave your skin feeling clean, smooth, and fresh then this is the one for you!

“A selection of UpCircle’s best-sellers in sample size, housed in a Pamper Kit.  Ideal for a pamper night in with friends, for taking on holiday, as a party favour, as a mini gift for bridesmaids, or as an accessible way to decide your faves before committing to the full-sizes!”

My Verdict: This little Pamper Kit would be such a good gift for a loved one! Full of 10 samples, (a cleansing face balm, clarifying face mask, hand and body wash/lotion, face toner and moisturisers, eye cream, night cream, organic face serum, and body cream) it is perfect for someone who is always on the go or for taking on holiday.

The kit is also perfect if you are wanting to trial new products before committing to purchasing a full-size product. My personal favourites from the kit are the eye cream and night cream, after using these together my skin felt refreshed and my under-eye bags looked much brighter than usual!

“2 mini scoops in 2 different sizes. These scoops ensure your products stay sanitary and are a sustainable alternative to plastic options. Perfect for using with your Cleansing Balm, Face Mask, Moisturiser, Body Scrub and Body Cream. These scoops are washable and reusable, so you should never throw them away — especially if you’re someone who doesn’t like to use your fingers to apply skincare!”

My Verdict: These scoops are amazing! I’ve incorporated these into my everyday routine and am now using them religiously, they are perfect for face creams and masks for easy application whilst avoiding using your fingers to touch the product or your face. I would definitely recommend these!

Once again, these scoops are both recycled from metal alloys and are plastic-free making them not only useful for your beauty routines, but also useful for helping the environment.
