Our Top Nail Polish Brands You Need in Isolation

If like me, you are missing getting a manicure, pedicure, gels or acrylics *daydreams* to the nail salon, then look no further.

We have discovered the best nail polishes on the market to help you add a pop of colour into your lockdown life. It does not help that funky nails are everywhere on our social media feeds at the moment. Whether you prefer a standard block nail colour, ombre, pastel-coloured tips or even polka-dots, being in quarantine is the perfect time to up your nail game with so many unique and beautiful ways to be inventive with your nails.

We have put together a list below, to cerebrate National Nail Polish Day the stylish way.

Ciate London

We are loving Ciate this season. Not only are they a vegan and cruelty-free brand, they are also certified by PETA. Ciate is known for innovative, magical and approachable beauty, constantly pushing boundaries to set trends within the beauty industry. We are loving their Spring Pastels Collection especially this, Loop The Loop shade, that most definitely is as described: Summer in a bottle! You can get your hands on Ciate in the Cohorted Beauty Boxes!

Nails INC

Nails INC is the UK’s number one nail brand and they too, create cruelty free products using the highest quality ingredients. Their nail polishes have only been tried and tested on human nails to understand what you and your nails really need. Nails INC polishes are nothing but luxury, with Victoria Beckham and Alexa Chung being two of the many to collaborate with the brand. ‘It’s Cool To Be Kind’ is without a doubt is our favourite shade; a gorgeous thick pastel purple with an ultra-glossy finish is what we need to be wearing during self-isolation to perk us up!

Sally Hansen

If you have discovered that your nails have started to crack or scuff, after you may have “accidentally” peeled off your gels or acrylics while watching Netflix on repeat, do not fear, as Sally Hansen is here! Their nail polish formulas include nail growth and strength treatments and we 100% recommend investing in the Maximum Growth Treatment. It’s triple protein and silk formula includes powerful protection for shorter nails improves not only the healthy growth of nails, but also the nail condition. It also works great as a base coat for other Sally Hansen products including the chip resistant Miracle Gel, that comes in a variety of 40 different shades. Perfect for nail-art!

Essie

Essie aims to inspire a love for the manicure experience with a style that can reach any person, anywhere. Each polish contains a salon-quality formula and in return, has become a market-leader for more than 35 years. Also, the Queen will only wear Essie nail polish in the shade of Ballet Slippers, a glossy high-shine pastel pink shade with flawless coverage. However, Essie’s new venture includes the nail polish collection Expressie, a quick-dry nail polish drying in approximately one minute, for instant manicure results. Great for when you don’t have time to paint your nails, oh wait…

Nailberry

All of the Nailberry nail polishes are vegan and cruelty free, as their aim is to create a range of nail polishes to help restore client’s nails and deliver a healthier manicure. Their award-winning L’Oxygene range allows air and water vapour to pass through it, ensuring your natural nail can breathe when painted. Our favourite shade is the Rouge Nailberry polish, which glides onto nails with ease and leaving a strong, opaque finish. The polish is also resistant to chipping too. We love a classic red polish as it looks great on its own or matched with a baby pink shade to create a selection of different nail art looks!

Zao

Vegan and cruelty free brand Zao, is free from 10 of the most toxic chemicals traditionally found in nail polishes, including toluene, parabens, resin, benzophenone etc. Instead, their nail polishes are enriched with natural bamboo rhizome macerate, that is rich in organic silica which helps your nails look healthier and appear stronger. Zao aims to respect the environment, but also your health. All casings are environmentally friendly with the top of the bottle being made from bamboo, not plastic. How amazing is that!

We hope to have inspired you with our top nail polish brands and even helped to motivate you to do something different with your nails while in quarantine. Maybe your nail ideas could become Instagrams next nail-trend, who knows! We’d love to see the looks you create! Be sure to tag @cohorted x
