Makeup Products That Contain SPF

We all know how important protecting your skin is. Here we share the best makeup products with SPF – for sun protection that doesn’t cause breakouts.

We know the importance of SPF all year round, no matter what the weather. During the hotter months, the last thing we want to dis spend our days with thick layers of products on. Dewy, lightweight complexions are trending and so brands are adapting to these demands by releasing a wider range of multipurpose SPF products.

Finding makeup options that contain SPF help to minimise your routine, whilst targeting various skin concerns at once. Here are some options for each step in your makeup routine, making that decision a little bit easier for you…

You should be applying a SPF before you even get to your foundation and looking for the perfect SPF that works with your skin is super important. Face SPF should be the highest possible with a minimum of SPF 50. Your SPF should also have UVA and UVB protection. UVB to help protect your skin from sunburn and skin reddening and plays a huge role in protecting against skin cancer. UVA is present throughout the day and can penetrate the skin even more that UVB causing long term effects.

Curated specially for sensitive skin, thLa Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Light Invisible Fluid Sun Cream SPF50 is not only waterproof, it’s resistant to water, sweat and sand. More importantly, it’s not greasy and doesn’t leave white marks meaning you can wear it under any foundation or as your main base.

An everyday sun cream, thEucerin Sun Oil Control Face Protection Sun Cream for Oily & Blemish Prone Skin SPF 50 is perfect for those suffering with oily and blemish prone skin. With an ultra-light consistency, this is great for everyday wear and is unperfumed.

Although you’ve already primed your skin with an SPF, it’s vital to ensure that you continue to add SPF into your makeup routine for maximum protection.

The Monuskin – Perfecting Tint Medium 50ml which was available in the Cohorted February Classic Beauty Box (buy herehas an SPF of 15. A tinted moisturising cream, for those who like a bit of coverage, but nowhere near anything too full, this hydrates, nourishes your skin whilst also providing a natural pigment that creates a film colour tmatch your complexion.

For more coverage and at a drugstore budget, the Revlon ColorStay Makeup Foundation has an SPF of 20 and is that matte foundation that leaves your complexion looking smooth and clear at a very friendly price tag. For higher-end budgets, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation is a favourite amongst many beauty experts. With an SPF of 15, the coverage is buildable and leaves your skin melting in with the product.

Another budget friendly product is the Rimmel London Natural Bronzing Powder. Rimmel always nails it when it comes to budget friendly products that are good quality too. If you were a fan of the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder that made the rounds a couple of years ago, you’ll love this too.

The Lanolips Tinted Balms have been on the scene and taken over the lip-world for a while now and it’s no surprise. Their beautiful ultra-hydrating formula leaves your lips looking plumper and softer whilst also giving them that extra bit of colour. Added bonus, an SPF of 30.

The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments are a wonderful in between of lip balms and lipsticks.
