In 2015, Danish skincare brand Ecooking was born. Launched by skin care manufacturer and entrepreneur Tina Søgaard, who originally produced and packaged all products by hand in her kitchen. With years of experience in the industry, Tina was well educated on the ingredients which can boost our skin, so decided to take matters into her own hands.
Sourcing raw ingredients from the laboratory, Tina experimented with creams, serums, and oils, making a new batch every other day. Before long, the effects on Tina’s skin were visible and so her loved ones began trialing and testing the home-mixed products, bottled in recycled jam jars.
The Ecooking vision stemmed from developing a range of products targeted at specific skin issues. Now, five years later, the brand has formulated an entire collection to meet any need and tackle any skincare concern.
With efficiency at the heart of everything they do, Ecooking invest in their ingredients and the effects they have on the skin. They also place a huge focus on developing products for everyone – no matter the age, gender, budget, skin type or problem. Ecooking believe that everyone deserves that sense of well-being which comes hand in hand with healthy and well-nourished skin. Cohorted couldn’t agree more.
After hearing great things about the brand from Skincare specialist, Caroline Hirons, the Cohorted team were delighted to review some of Ecooking’s best-sellers.
Ecooking Peeling Mask
Ecooking’s Fragrance-free Peel Mask is another award winner from the brand. This mask can be used 1-3 times per week, making it the ideal self-care routine treatment. We recommend using once a week for 4-6 minutes and gradually building up to a longer application time. After only one use, our skin had visible results – tighter, improved texture, fresh and glowy.
The active ingredients of AHA and Lactic Acids exfoliate dead skin cells without any harsh scrubbing. Using 1-3 times weekly helps to stimulate and promote cell production. This is a perfect all–rounder mask, benefitting every skin type. If fine lines and wrinkles are your issue, the peel mask will help combat the appearance of creases, while enhancing your skin’s natural glow.
Due to being such an effective product, skin may become red or irritated after use, which is completely normal. If your skin doesn’t react, it is still working! This is where the SPF comes into play, as it is recommended the peeling mask is not used before going into the sun.

Ecooking Sunscreen SPF30
We all know the importance of wearing SPF daily, it is quite literally engrained into us at this point. But finding one which doesn’t clog pores, leave a white residue or feel like a chore to apply each morning, is a journey. Ecooking’s Waterproof SPF 30 is one we will continue to repurchase as it’s non greasy, non–sticky and doesn’t leave a white film – hooray! It can be applied to the face, neck, hands and body – making it a great multi-purpose product for travelling.
Lightweight with maximum protection, this sunscreen will last all day long, protecting against harmful UVA and UVB rays. When worn underwater, the SPF is water resistant for up to 20 minutes!
Skin is kept nourished and hydrated with organic aloe vera, cucumber extract and glycerin, all which host calming and anti-inflammatory properties. The texture of this sunscreen is extremely delicate, with natural ingredients that boost skin elasticity and stimulate Collagen production. What more could you want from an SPF?

Ecooking Self-Tanning Drops
Continuing with the luminous theme, Cohorted got the opportunity to trial the fragrance-free, hyaluronic acid tanning drops. These little drops of sunshine are everything we need in the dreary winter months when our skin looks dull and lifeless.
The drops do not contain any perfumes, making them vegan and cruelty free, without the dreaded self-tan aroma. Mix 2-3 drops with your night-time moisturiser and you will wake up with a subtle tan and radiant complexion. P.s. Remember to blend into neck, hairline and wash your hands! The formula also contains Hyaluronic Acid, ensuring hydration after application, perfect if self-tan often dries out your skin. Ecooking’s Self–Tanning Drops are streak free, easy to apply and allow you to create your own bespoke glow. They can even be used on other parts of the body; simply add to your body lotion to create a custom, healthy-looking tan.
Another added value to this vegan, cruelty free and organic brand is the price point. Ecooking believe in everyday, affordable luxury skin care. Furthermore, all products are produced with responsibility to the environment. The glass packaging is sustainably sourced from corn, making it reusable and recyclable. Fill up your empty bottles with liquids when travelling or upcycle your face mask pot as a trinket / spice jar.
