According to Rod, some of our drying habits are causing long-term problems. His first piece of advice is to rough dry your hair with a towel first. If you try to dry from sopping wet with a hairdryer, it may take forever. The next is to decide how you want the finish. If you want straight hair, use a nozzle on the drier and angle it down the hair. Do not aim the drier direct on. The flow of the air should follow the length of the hair. Also, the hotter the temperature, the straighter it will go. If it’s volume you’re after, it’s best not to use a nozzle and use a cooler temperature.
