Beauty Influencer Laura Pearson Shares Her Top Skincare Picks

There is no shortage of skincare products on the market, so it is easy to get overwhelmed when buying new products. Beauty Influencer, Laura Pearson, has put many of these products to the test and here she shares some of her favourites…

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, £48

This is a thin, milky serum that’s amazing at fading dark spots and brightening the skin. It’s very hydrating too and I love the weighty, luxe glass bottle. It feels very gentle and soothing on the skin and it’s just a real joy to apply. The results from the Caudalie-patented dark spot correcting Viniferne ingredient are amazing – it’s said to be 62 times more effective than Vitamin C.

1. Omoroviczka Thermal Cleansing Balm, £59

Again, the weighty glass jar appeals greatly to my boujee nature. It’s a cleansing balm with a difference, in that it’s formulated with Hungarian Moor Mud that draws out impurities. It feels really decadent to apply this black balm and you definitely get a better cleanse having this purifying and detoxifying ingredient in there. It’s a spa experience in a jar.

3. Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, £15

This is a basic, scentless, hydrating gel cleanser. It’s completely no frills, but it’s my favourite non-balm cleanser of all time. It’s light and refreshing to apply and it doesn’t strip the skin. It leaves it feeling super hydrated and soothed, with its allantoin and Pro-Vitamin B5 ingredients. You just can’t beat the bargain price either!

111Skin Sub Zero De-Puffing Energy Mask, £85

111Skin make the most amazing sheet masks and they are known for their Cryotherapy – something I practice regularly at home on my face with ice rollers for a firming effect. This mask is incredible out of the fridge. It’s bio-cellulose, which helps the ingredients penetrate better than with a fibre sheet mask. It de-puffs, minimises inflammation and dark circles (with its seaweed ingredient), tackles signs of ageing (with a peptide complex) and deeply hydrates the skin.

4. Peach Slices Citrus Honey Aqua Glow Moisturiser, $11.99

This is my favourite moisturiser of all time, but you can only get it in the US, unless you are prepared to pay insane Customs charges for what is actually a budget product. This thick gel moisturiser has the most amazing texture. It feels cooling, is super hydrating and leaves skin with a clearly visible dewy ‘glass skin’ look. Honey extracts nourish the skin, citrus fruits brighten, ceramides fortify the skin barrier and there’s a host of hydrating ingredient like glycerin. Perfection!

6. Youth to The People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream, £42

This is my favourite alternative moisturiser. It’s a light, refreshing gel-cream texture; but much more on the gel side. It feels so cooling and is incredibly hydrating. A gel moisturiser is definitely my go-to every morning as I love the refreshing and plumping effects. Hyaluronic acid hydrates and a host of leafy greens have major antioxidant capabilities. It’s no fuss, and leaves your skin looking plump and youthful.

Verso Hydration Serum with Niacinamide, £80

Niacinamide is one of my most favourite skincare ingredients. It’s a literal hero! It really refines the texture of my skin by minimising pores. This is my favourite Niacinamide serum as I love it’s thin, light, watery texture. It’s very hydrating and soothing to the skin; refining and brightening too. Oat lipids, fatty acids and ceramides are also in there to really comfort and strengthen the skin.

7. Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Formula, £19 (5pc)

I use an AHA-based acid toner every morning and this is my all-time favourite. Not only is it very handy and practical because the 2-step treatment pads are pre-soaked, but it’s travel friendly too as each day is individually wrapped. This is intense, so definitely not a starter acid; but its results blow me away every time I come back to it. It really revolutionises the texture of your skin and smooths it, all while supporting your skin barrier too.
