With these 7 simple steps, you’ll soon be swishing those silky locks like there’s no tomorrow…
Is smooth and silky hair on your hair goals list, but you just don’t know how to quite get there? Well, you’ve come to the right place.
Achieving silky hair can take time for some, but you’ve just got to trust the process. We explain how to get silky hair with these seven simple steps. You’ll soon be swishing those silky locks like there’s no tomorrow…
The first and most important step when drying your hair is to use the “cool” setting or simply air dry it. This is so much healthier for your hair and you’re not damaging it with unnecessary heat.
Secondly, don’t forget to use a heat protectant when you’re applying any kind of heat on your hair. It’s best to avoid using heat where you can, but if you don’t have a heat protectant, now is a good time to invest in one.
The third tip is not to put your hair up too often, as this restricts the blood flow to your head, therefore taking longer to grow. Putting your hair up can also cause hair breakage, especially when wet, due to the hair follicles being damaged.
Fourth, I bet you knew this one was coming… invest in a magical hair mask! Of course, this doesn’t have to be the most expensive one on the market, it’s all about the quality and not the price. The one that I’ve been using is from Garnier and it seems to do the job perfectly. However, if you want to splash out then no one is stopping you!
Need that extra bit of moisture in your hair? Mask your hair with pure almond oil and leave it on for an hour or so, then wash it off normally with shampoo and conditioner. It’s best to do this on a day that when staying at home and are doing nothing. Unless you like the slicked, greasy hair look, then you do you!
This one is obvious, but don’t forget to brush your hair in the morning and before you go to bed, or whenever you feel like it needs a good brush to detangle any knots and prevent further damage. Keeping on top of brushing your hair will help you avoid any matting or knots.
Finally, this is an optional add on, but “skin, hair and nails” tablets can help with hair growth and health. I have been taking ones from Holland & Barrett and they have definitely been helping in terms of hair and nail growth and strength. However, I’ve not noticed any difference in my skin yet, but I’ve not had any side effects from it.
Of course, do your own research and seek professional advice if on additional medication before putting anything in your body.
