Festive Homeware for Inspiration

Festive-fying your home is the perfect way to get in the holiday mood. With Christmas scarily just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start shopping for some homeware pieces to add to your collection. With so many high street and high-end options to recommend, here are a couple of Cohorted’s favourite stores that have absolutely nailed it with their Christmas homeware…

A high street favourite, I find that Next is sometimes overlooked, but they really come out on top. Their Christmas online shop is so easy to navigate as well! Their wreaths and garlands are some of my favourites available and you know you’re getting fabulous quality but at a decent price too. Their Dibor wreaths are always gorgeous and crazy Christmassy – this year their Dibor Sherbet Pine Wreath and Dibor Cinnamon Pine Wreath are my top picks. They also have an entire cosy shop, filled to the brim with snuggly throws and cosy cushions. I absolutely need this Arctic Cosy Faux Fur Beanbag during the cold nights. Also, their novelty section is fabulous, full of things you didn’t know you needed – like a Christmas Pudding Teapot and a Santa Bath Mat for the festive season.

Oliver Bonas

On the higher end of the budget is Oliver Bonas and although they don’t come out with masses of Christmas products, the ones they do sell are always beautiful and intricate. If you’re looking to splurge on Christmas decorations or homeware, this is the place. I’m completely in love with this magical Golden Bell Christmas Garland with Lights. Every year they also come out with beautiful beaded tree decorations, such as this adorable catwhich are not only a great gift for your own tree, but to also brighten up someone else’s home.

John Lewis

We can’t do Christmas without John Lewis. Obviously, we are all on the edge of our seats to find out what the Christmas advert is going to be this year. No one does Christmas like John Lewis. What I love about John Lewis is that it’s accessible for a lot of different budgets, you just need to know where to look. Obviously as a department store it’s superior in the fact that it really does have everything you need at home. Their home lights are beautiful, including this Star Light to add that extra bit of twinkle to your home. Christmas also doesn’t just have to be in your living room or bedroom – the kitchen is obviously key to making and serving all the Christmas food, so having an adorable serving platter at the ready for those mince pies and these unique SIlver Antlers Mini Cheese Knives for the after dinner crackers will put you one step ahead this year.

On the friendlier side of the budget, Matalan always has some brilliant bits in for Christmas. I’m not just talking about a couple of baubles and decorations, I’m talking tea towels, bedding, bathmats, dinner sets; Basically, if you need anything Christmassy – Matalan is the place to go. Some of my favourite products include this Reversible Holly Print Christmas Duvet Cover, their Novelty Christmas Spatulas and this adorable Christmas Deer Cushion.

Another highstreet favourite, H&M Home always brings the classy Christmas homeware to the table. A lot more subtle with their Christmas patterns, they’re seasonal picks this year are in-keeping with everyone’s trending homeware aesthetics. Some of my favourite picks this year include this Wall-hung advent calendar, these felt napkin rings and this beautiful printed cushion cover!
