‘Maskne‘ is the new term that you are likely to have seen uttered by your favourite skinfluencers over the past few months but essentially, it’s acne, blemishes or marks caused by the wearing of protective face masks. 

Our faces aren’t used to being covered for long periods of time, unless you happen to be a surgeon or have a love for balaclavas. And given that we’ve been wearing face masks for the better part of a year and are likely to continue until we see some sort of end to the COVID-19 pandemic, you’re going to want to invest in some sheet masks this winter to give your skin that extra boost.
