Coffee, everyone loves it. If you’re reading this article, you are most definitely obsessed. Let’s just pretend coffee haters don’t exist.
Today is the one day we can have unlimited cups of coffee, guilt-free. Yep, it’s International Coffee Day, so here are a few coffee hacks to level up your coffee game.
Bored of having plain, instant coffee every morning? Switch it up by adding in some natural spices. Vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin spice; the list is endless. Simply add a dash to your coffee for flavour that packs a punch.
If you want to really take it up a notch, invest in coffee syrups. You’ll be making Starbucks standard coffee in no time. A few pumps of caramel or vanilla will sweeten your coffee and give it that barista-made feel.
Most likely you saw the famous “tiktok” coffee at the beginning of lockdown. If not, you can still join in on the trend because it is never too late for coffee;
- 3 tbsp instant coffee
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 400-500ml milk (I use whole milk but dairy alternatives such as oat milk work a treat.)
- Whisk the coffee, sugar and 3 tbsp boiling water in a bowl for approximately 5 mins until the mixture is thick and fluffy with stiff peaks. This works most efficiently using an electric whisk but can be done by hand.
- For hot coffee, heat the milk and pour into two heatproof glasses. For cold coffee, pour the cold milk into two glasses. Divide the coffee mixture in half and spoon evenly on top of the glasses. Serve and stir thoroughly before drinking.
