Travel-Sized Beauty Favourites for Your Next Holiday
Times are tough right now. As well as the ongoing societal problem of systematic and systemic racism against black people across the world, the Coronavirus pandemic continues. With many of us still abiding by lockdown restrictions, travelling has been severely disrupted.  You may have had a holiday planned that’s been cancelled or postponed. You might have planned to take a quick trip away to escape the hustle and bustle of life. You probably planned a staycation to get away from your hometown for a short while. Regardless of your travel plans, it’s annoying to have to put things on hold.

Face SPF Products You Need to Try Right Now
It’s hot. There I said it. It really crept up on us. We were given rain and storms before a heatwave no one saw coming. I’m the first to burn too. I’ll step outside and within 10 minutes, I’m a rosy hue. This list is as much for me as it is you and I’m excited about it, let me tell you.

Summer Lovin’
You've binge-watched Normal People, developed a mild case of repetitive strain injury from swiping left on boys who are 'just looking for a quarantine buddy ;)' and Love Island 2020 (much like my own love life) is cancelled.   If you're a hopeless romantic like myself and need your fix of summer lovin' in the absence of skin-tight white jeans peacocking around a firepit (I mock, but I've never missed an episode), then pick up a love story.

The Benefits of Meditation On Your Mental Health
Life is still a little on the crazy side right now… I mean, if you’d have asked me back in January what I thought I’d achieve this year, you can bet your bottom dollar I wouldn’t have said building a loungewear collection and not leaving my house for months, other than to go food shopping and walk the dog. No socialising… no holidays… not going into work…  Life has literally been flipped upside down for a lot of people and now more than ever, it’s important to look after our mental health and wellbeing. Spending most of your time alone, or with the same few people in your household can also be hard, especially if you’re a natural social butterfly.

Retreat To The Bedroom

There is no getting away from the fact this has been a mad year. With the ever-present threat of impending doom looming large, I have been finding solace in my bedroom.

It might have grim brown carpets, ones that my landlord will not change, and trams whizzing past every five minutes, but it has become my favourite place to retreat. By really considering what I was lacking in the communal areas of my home, I have been able to create a space that is specifically designed to be a calming, special place just for me.

Here are a few ways you can transform your space from snore (pun intended) into a sanctuary:

Upgrade your bedding

Stunning sheets don’t just belong in 5-star hotels. Whilst high thread count sheets can seem expensive, you need to bear in mind you are spending a huge chunk of your week snuggled in between them.

Brands like Dusk and Linenbundle offer really high-quality bedding at a really reasonable price, just be sure to go for a neutral shade to ensure longevity.

Stop what you are doing and buy a diffuser

Bought on a whim, my diffuser has become one of my most prized possessions. Not only does it keep the air in my room filled with moisture – which helps keeps skin hydrated and prevents dry and cracked lips – but mine allows you to pick mood lighting to add to the experience.

If you are feeling plush, Neom’s wellbeing pod is a market leader, but there are plenty more budget-friendly options online.

Just remember that essential oils are magic and well worth investing in. Splash out for pure formulas to ensure you are maximising the experience. Scents like Eucalyptus, Orange Blossom and Lavender will have your room smelling like a spa in no time.

Tidy up

This is so simple but an absolute game-changer. Taking the time each morning to make sure your room is neat and tidy ensures that it is a welcoming environment to return home to.

Storage solutions like wicker baskets are perfect for all the bits and bobs you struggle to find a home for and a nice alternative to shoving it in a corner. Those lucky enough to have some additional wall space should consider investing in some ladder shelvingas they don’t require being drilled in place.
