Less Choice Might Not Be Such A Bad Thing
I don’t know about you, but my eating habits have definitely changed during lockdown. Availability and acceptance, of course, play a huge part in this, but let’s be honest, food is the biggest excitement. It’s a frequently visited topic of conversation in the house and the greatest joy.  Let’s momentarily glance back to pre-lockdown behaviour. We had become complacent. We could nip to the supermarket (now a major operation) or take an online shop to checkout in under half an hour (and have it delivered the next day, would you believe?).

Sleep Hacks: ways to wind-down
Sleep Hacks: ways to wind-down
Whether you struggle getting to sleep, staying asleep or even waking up, there’s something here that might make all the difference to your night time routine. Everyone’s mind and body works differently, but the science behind it is all the same. There are just some specific things that really don’t promote a healthy sleep and some that really do. With a little bit of patience and knowledge, you may figure out where you’re going wrong before bed… That conventional cup of caffeine, I mean tea, before bed? Could be the worst decision you make.

Why you need to Marie Kondo your life
Whilst we continue to spend time in isolation, the more we notice around us. You pick up on messy things you may not have noticed until you spend every working day sat in front that hideous, overcrowded bookcase (the one you throw all your clutter onto). With spring creeping towards and more time on our hands, there’s no better time than now to release your inner Marie Kondo and cleanse every inch of your life.

Important Life Factors
There’s never not a ‘right’ time to learn these 7 key factors of life. When you feel like you’re on top of the world or when you’re at the lowest of lows, acknowledging the 7 factors of wellness and understanding how to utilise their purpose to your personal life, will easily enhance the great times and allow you to pick up from the bad ones.   Each factor is just as important than the other, but some will be more relevant and more important in our day to day lives. There’s nowhere to say you have to be perfect at all 7, it’s just a guideline on how to live a healthy, happy and mindful lifestyle.

The Cult Edit: December Favourites

T his month on the Cult Edit, we bring you our favourite December bits and bobs. Because we’re fully prepped for Christmas here at the Cohorted HQ, we wanted to suggest our ultimate essentials for Christmas and New Years, whether it’s food and drink, sequin outfits or our favourite Christmas films, we wont be forgetting about it throughout the festivities. Our team is here to show you our favourites, to get you ready for celebrations…

LOVISA REINDEER EARRINGS, £6

One of my favourite things to do in December is to have a gathering with my uni friends from home and have a little catch up with them as they are all home from uni for Christmas and New Year. This year they spotted my new favourite earrings which got me Christmas spirit, these cute reindeer earrings from Lovisa, and now they all want a pair!

CHRISTMAS FILM: LOVE ACTUALLY

There’s nothing better to get you in the Christmas mood than a Christmas film. We hear the songs on the radio, but they never get you as nostalgic as a film. The ultimate festive film has got to be Love Actually, spreading positivity, love and Christmas cheer. As soon as it’s acceptable to watch, it’s on my screen. You can’t beat a good Christmas classic with a nice Yorkshire tea.

BOOHOO, GLITTER WIDE LEG PANTS, £14

The perfect figure-hugging glitter pants that will make your New Year’s Eve shine. As well as being very comfy, essential after the Christmas indulging, they’re not see through so you can dance the night away worry free.

CHRISTMAS FOOD: BUFFET FOOD

I’m sorry but who doesn’t LOVE a buffet?! The cheese board alone is always the star – crackers, cured meats, chutneys and grapes. YUM. My other buffet favourites are tempura prawns, grissini and the humble cold pizza.

ASDA YELLOW LABEL PROSECCO, £6

What better way to celebrate Christmas & New Years Day than with a glass of Prosecco. Get that same festive feeling for less, with Asda own brand of award-winning Yellow Label Prosecco for just £6. Mix with orange juice for the perfect buck fizz to start your Christmas morning or sip alongside any dish.

ASOS DESIGN CHRISTMAS CANDY CANE PYJAMAS, £28

Every Christmas you’ll find me lounging in festive pyjamas. The year my favourites were a pair from ASOS, which are also great to wear all year round as they are not too christmassy. Pair with a cosy dressing gown and you’re good to go!

  • Anna, Business Development

SPARKLING CINNAMON YANKEE CANDLE, £10

Christmas candles! What is more christmassy than the warming scents which remind you of the nostalgia of Christmas time, every year. Sparkling cinnamon and Gingerbread from Yankee Candles are my favourite scents for reminiscing Christmas during the month of December.

CHRISTMAS FILM: THE HOLIDAY

It’s not really Christmas without my favourite festive film. ‘The Holiday’ is the perfect combination of female empowerment and Jude Law dreaminess. Cosying up with this film, an overly fluffy blanket and a Baileys Hot Chocolate is my ideal Christmas night in!

  • Rose, Business Development Manager

TOBAR CHRISTMAS MAGIC SNOW TUB, £8

As much as I hate the snow, there is no denying it brings out the Christmas spirit like nothing else. Unfortunately no White Christmas this year but got to make my own snow thanks to John Lewis’ Christmas Magic Snow Tub!
