A Visit to Pierre Marcolini

A chocolate lovers heaven where a diverse range of cocoa beans are used from around the world to create the finest taste.

As you walk into the Pierre Marcolini boutique on Marylebone High Street you are met by a soft, comforting smell of chocolate. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the counter where an array of colourful chocolates and sweet treats lay. There is no doubt by this point you’ll be trying to decided ‘how much chocolate is too much chocolate to take home?’

Well, if you’re trying to be good, Pierre Marcolini offer a sugar-free dark chocolate tablet. Now, don’t roll your eyes! This chocolate is still incredibly luxurious and indulgent. It melts beautifully in your mouth just like the rest of their collections. Some of the chocolates on offer are also accidentally vegan, so why not check the label and treat yourself.

Marcolini himself is a dedicated and passionate chocolatier who travels the world to source rare cocoa beans directly from plantation owners. In 2019 the company made a commitment to sustainability, to protect the planet and the people they work with. This means no child labour, using only natural herbicides and striving to preserve biodiversity.

From sourcing the raw ingredients to refining the end products, all stages take place in house. This desire for perfection and authenticity is obvious in the handmade confectionary seen in store. Pierre Marcolini’s chocolates are not only delicious but visually stunning.

The Autumn Collection harmoniously explores chocolates relationship with a variety of exquisite teas: Oolong, Gyokuro, Pu-Erh and Matcha. Keep an eye out as their Winter collection will be available soon.
