Less Choice Might Not Be Such A Bad Thing
I don’t know about you, but my eating habits have definitely changed during lockdown. Availability and acceptance, of course, play a huge part in this, but let’s be honest, food is the biggest excitement. It’s a frequently visited topic of conversation in the house and the greatest joy.  Let’s momentarily glance back to pre-lockdown behaviour. We had become complacent. We could nip to the supermarket (now a major operation) or take an online shop to checkout in under half an hour (and have it delivered the next day, would you believe?).

Sleep Hacks: ways to wind-down
Sleep Hacks: ways to wind-down
Whether you struggle getting to sleep, staying asleep or even waking up, there’s something here that might make all the difference to your night time routine. Everyone’s mind and body works differently, but the science behind it is all the same. There are just some specific things that really don’t promote a healthy sleep and some that really do. With a little bit of patience and knowledge, you may figure out where you’re going wrong before bed… That conventional cup of caffeine, I mean tea, before bed? Could be the worst decision you make.

Why you need to Marie Kondo your life
Whilst we continue to spend time in isolation, the more we notice around us. You pick up on messy things you may not have noticed until you spend every working day sat in front that hideous, overcrowded bookcase (the one you throw all your clutter onto). With spring creeping towards and more time on our hands, there’s no better time than now to release your inner Marie Kondo and cleanse every inch of your life.

Important Life Factors
There’s never not a ‘right’ time to learn these 7 key factors of life. When you feel like you’re on top of the world or when you’re at the lowest of lows, acknowledging the 7 factors of wellness and understanding how to utilise their purpose to your personal life, will easily enhance the great times and allow you to pick up from the bad ones.   Each factor is just as important than the other, but some will be more relevant and more important in our day to day lives. There’s nowhere to say you have to be perfect at all 7, it’s just a guideline on how to live a healthy, happy and mindful lifestyle.

Our Favourites from the Indie Beauty Expo!

23rd October 2019, Cohorted Communications attended the Indie Beauty Expo; an event to showcase and celebrate the best independent and upcoming beauty brands in the industry.

After attending the 2018 IBE (Indie Beauty Expo) convention, we were excited for what the 2019 event exhibitors had to offer. There’s nothing like a day trip from Leeds to London, to meet exciting brands who are ready to take the beauty and skincare market by storm, to get us going!

There were so many gorgeous brands to highlight from the event, it was definitely a tough one to narrow down. But here we have it, our favourite brand discoveries from the convention:

Fine [fì-ne]

FINE is Italian for “end”. This is exactly what FINE does: it finally puts an end to your search for your perfect beauty product and it sets the beginning for a powerful beauty regime. From innovative products to ethical packaging, this Berlin-based brand is one to watch out for. The potency in all their products are just one contributing factor to their gorgeous brand. Creating new, ground-breaking products, Fine have created a hybrid Body Oil/Serum, which has stollen our hearts.

Mimitika – For Sun Lovers

We all know it’s necessary to protect ourselves from the sun and UV rays, but often, too many of us take the risk of burning. Mimitika have created a vegan suncream that is comfortable to use, embodying the brand values of freedom and well-being in the sun. Alongside their gorgeous branding and packaging, their formula’s are ideal for anyone looking for the perfect balance between protection, comfort and tan. **Pro Tip** Their Face Cream is the perfect base for any make up look.

TRUE Skincare

“Beauty should be inclusive, not exclusive.” TRUE Skincare have gone above and beyond to create a waterless, natural and organic brand. With the aim of providing consumers with various sustainable alternatives, TRUE Skincare is accessible to everyone. Alongside their elegant, artistic and sustainable packaging, the products are Multi-Award Winning already! The full range treats cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating the skin, what more could you want?

Virtue – Scientific Hair Care

“The world didn’t need another hair care company, so we created a biotech company to repair hair.” Virtue is a cruelty free haircare brand, focused on the scientific benefits that the protein, Alpha Keratin 60ku™, has to help heal hair. The Keratin protein itself is extracted from ethically-sourced human hair, so that our bodies are able to recognise it and treat it as our own. This helps to revive hair, making it shinier, stronger and more healthy. Virtue pride themselves in sharing the restorative powers of their haircare products, such as the Resorative Treatment Mask. We’re here loving the formula, smell and branding of the products.
