It might only be September but Autumn is fast approaching, therefore an Autumn wardrobe spruce up is well overdue. AW19* is a balance between minimalist styling, bold colour contrasts, power suits to combat boots. What will be your first buy of the season?
THE WORKING WOMEN
The last few years suits have seen the return of the power suit. The way you wear this trend is completely up to you. Stay stylish for work with a fitted suit and shirt or add some edge with an oversized co ord. The suit doesn’t always have to reflect the initial power suit (Thank you Yves Saint Laurent) making you feel like your about to enter a business meeting. Feel youthful, feminine and fresh by adding a blouse underneath, a crop top on weekends or even an oversized white T. Or if you are feeling more daring be seductive and show some skin shown on the Alexander McQueen. The suit can be completely versatile, dress it up and down for any occasion.

MONOCHROMATIC COLOUR CODING
A personal favourite from the AW19 trend forecast, colour blocking. Wearing an outfit in completely one colour is one way to stand out. The choice is yours, you can go for any colours – they don’t have to be the same shade! Pull on those blue trousers you bought years ago, a blue T shirt and a navy jacket. Rework whatever you have in your wardrobe to fit the new trends. This trend was popular on the AW19 catwalks as seen on Chanel, Max Mara, Missoni and Dolce and Gabbana to name a few.

LAYERING
A reoccurring trend from AW18 is back – layering. Everyone in England is of course happy as we all don’t have a choice but to layer anyway in the winter weather. At least we can layer, be warm and look on trend. Have a look in your summer wardrobe and drag out your pleated midi skirt or your satin dress from SS19*. Grab an oversized, turtle neck jumper and add it on top. Pair with your favourite boots and if it is really cold, add your oversized fur coat – easy. You are warm, cosy, fashionable and on trend.

MINIMALIST CHIC
Again, minimal colours are in, paired with youthful tailoring. A camel trench is an essential staple for the minimalist trend, add with a cream jumper, beige tailored wide leg trousers and black leather boots. An easy trend to follow if you love minimal styling and want to create an effortlessly cool look. The minimalist styling is perfect no matter the occasion; family meal, drinks with the girls, a first date or a day in the office. Versatile sophisticated styling every women needs to follow. To shop the minimalist style for an affordable price Zara and H&M are ‘go to’ on the high street.

CHUNKY BOOTS
A new trend this season, the chunky boot is back, as seen on Prada, Bottega Veneta to Polo Ralph Lauren. A boot considered a niche is now popular for the masses. Pair your black chunky boot with a pleated midi skirt and satin cammi top for a juxtaposed feminine look or add with jeans and patent leather trench to create an autumn edge. A super comfortable boot which can be styled as you please for whatever occasion. Maybe it is time to put the chunky trainer down and make way for the chunky boot this season …
