Channel your inner Rachel Green with Ralph Lauren

The one where they all wore Ralph Lauren – The new Friends collection inspired by the iconic Rachel Green looks.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Friends, the designer has teamed up with Warner Bros to cherish the character, played by Jenifer Aniston.

Ralph Lauren has curated a ‘Wear to Work’ collection based on the characters chic style. The distinctive 90s and 00s pieces have been given a modern 2019 update, influencing workplace fashion. The Polo Ralph Lauren and Lauren Ralph Lauren pieces are inspired by Green’s office style including, leather trousers and skirts, polo-necks, suits, mini-skirts, accessories and even every woman’s dream, leopard print. With prices starting at £120, the items make for a largely desk-appropriate palette.

During the ten-season series, we experienced the iconic styles that Rachel Green blessed our TV screens with. Working for both Bloomingdales and Ralph Lauren, the perfect 90s icon that was Rachel Green, worked at Ralph Lauren for five years during her ten years on the show. Ralph Lauren even made a cameo appearance to support the Friends storyline in season six of the show. The two have now teamed up with Warner Bros on a collection that celebrates Rachel’s working wardrobe. If this doesn’t make you want to power dress, we don’t know what will.

The collection went on display at Bloomingdales, New York on September 21st and 22nd. The location of Rachel’s big-break job where she first gained fashion-retail experience. A special Friends 25th anniversary installation was also put in place, transforming the third floor of the department store into a recreation of Rachel’s office. Also, a special exhibit of the Central Perk coffee shop was installed where shoppers were offered a complimentary cup of coffee while sitting on the iconic orange sofa.

The extremely Instagrammable opportunity channelled our inner 90s icon and if you missed the New York event, worry not, there is soooo much more where that came from! You can still purchase the Rachel Green collection online and in selected Ralph Lauren stores now!
